“The Daily Grotesque”

A recital of short stories by Achille Campanile, in Italian and Persian, concluded the school year 2006-2007. The evening celebrated the second year of the Translation Laboratory, coordinated by prof. Menegazzo. This time brilliant students of the Italian language of the Tehran University and the Azad University took part in the project (Samaneh Changizi, Nastaran Shokoohi, Solmaz Sheykhi, Negar Abbasi, Soroor Coliaei).
The event saw the participation of the Ambassador, Mr Roberto Toscano, and of numerous personalities of the diplomatic, financial and cultural world.
Also this year the initiative aimed at making an Italian author not yet translated known to the public. The success of the event showed that the irony and the taste for the paradox of Campanile appealed to the public. The translation work was coordinated by prof. Menegazzo and collected in a volume published by the Italian School.
