“Alla Ricerca di Hassan ”

 

On the occasion of his visit to Iran, in October 2006, Terence Ward, author of the best seller “Searching for Hassan” kindly accepted to meet the Italian community and numerous university students of the Italian language at the “Pietro della Valle”. During the meeting the author, accompanied by his Italian wife, spoke movingly of his experience and answered the questions of the public.
In 1997 Ward and his Irish-American family set out on a long-awaited pilgrimage back home to Iran, where they lived in the 1960s. In a touching and informative book, Terence Ward uses his family's personal journey to Iran in search of a long-lost family friend as a frame in which to describe the richness and beauty of life in the Islamic Republic.
