“Ferdowsi-Dante affinità elettive”

 

The embassy of Italy in Iran and the Italian School of Tehran “Pietro Della Valle” have organized a conference with the title of  “Elective Affinity”, Dante and Ferdowsi in Italian and Persian literature. The historical introduction was  performed by Professor Marco Ferrentino, and the translator of the book “The Divine Comedy” Ms. Faride Mahdavi gave a speech on Ferdowsi and Dante and also about their parallelism and similar features that often occur and are noticed between the two authors. Consequently, pieces of the works of the authors were read by Mr.  Iman Bassiri and Ms. Leyla Damghani. The event was presented by His Exellency the Ambassador of Italy in Iran, Mr. Alberto Bradanini. The conference was organized and coordinated by the School Director, Mr. Francisco Soriano
